Bott Thanksgiving

What a fun week we had! Ben, Eliza and me spent the whole week at the cabin. The first three days it was just the three of us. It was nice and relaxing and COLD. Wednesday night the rest of my family came up. Thursday Ben and I (mostly Ben) made dinner. It turned out great. Everyone was happy and full. Friday we ventured out into the cold and cut down Christmas trees. Eliza and I spent most of the time in the car. Ben picked out a great tree for our house. I can't wait to get it home and decorate it. We left Saturday morning to make it home in time for the OSU vs. Michigan game and the Utah vs. BYU game. Both were victories. Thanksgiving this year was so great. We are so blessed and have lots to be thankful for.

Hodgkinson Thanksgiving

We had a terrifically yummy Thanksgiving dinner at the Hodgkinson's. I'm so excited to have two Thanksgiving's this year! This is all of the grand kids getting their picture taken for Clark and Wendy's Christmas cards. They are all adorable!

But she is my favorite.

10 Weeks

This is how I find Eliza every morning. She kicks and moves so much that she turns around in her crib and is totally unwrapped. She's a great sleeper so no complaints here!

2 Months

Eliza at two months...
dark gray eyes are getting lighter
smiles all the time
sleeps at night for 6 hours at a time
unwraps her blanket and kicks herself around her crib
is so happy when she wakes up in the middle of the night
takes great naps during the day
loves baths from Dad
pretends to be asleep so people don't bug her
still loves the big clock
does yoga (tummy time) with mom
has the longest, prettiest eye lashes
is getting more blond hair
makes us happy every single day

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when he wakes in the morni9ng and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.

Blessing Day

What a special day for a very special girl. Ben blessed Eliza today. He gave her a beautiful blessing. Afterward we had a yummy breakfast and hot chocolate buffet with family. It was a perfect day.

Yum!

Ben needs his own food network show. He's truly a great cook. A few weeks ago he came up with the idea to make our own "street tacos". Shredded lime pork and all the fixings. Needless to say we've had his parents, my dad, then my sister over to try them. We've had them about six times the last few weeks. We love them. Then this morning he made hot chocolate from scratch and a delicious omelette. So yummy! How did I get so lucky to have a chef for a husband?!
