Our version of Saturday morning cartoons

Eliza was being a pill so I thought I'd think of something new. A blanket over the table became our quick fort. We watched Elmo on my laptop. Later Ben went in to see the fun.

Like mother like daughter

My dear friend Lyndsey is amazing! She was planning on have her baby today but instead we got to go visit and SHE gave US homemade bread. Isn't that backwards?!? Eliza LOVES her bread so much. When we got home she wouldn't even let me take her coat off before she dug in. I think she gets that from me...

Free Zoo Day

Today was free day at the zoo and who doesn't like free!?!? At Lindsay's party we talked about going. Haylee and I were the only brave souls to venture into the cold. Honestly, it was one of the best days I've ever had at the zoo! We had some hilarious things happen, Eliza loves animals and making their sounds, and it wasn't that cold!!!

The sign says...Burrow ENTRANCE Duck - Low Ceiling. For some reason I thought there would be ducks inside. What a way to start the day. I keep saying I'm losing my mind...

Matthew and Haylee feeding the ducks.

We left the ducks and Haylee couldn't find her gloves. She walked back up to the ducks and didn't see them. I said maybe an extra pair of eyes will help. I found them. In WITH the ducks. We went and told the workers who said they'd get them for her. Hilarious!

You can't tell that great from the pictures but these monkey's loved Eliza. I think it's because she had food in her hands. They came right up to her. If there wasn't glass they would have been on her lap!

We deemed Lindsay as our zoo good luck charm. It wasn't that busy, it got pretty warm, and we saw so many animals so close up. She is the only one who hadn't been to the zoo before so she gets the credit! Sleeping or not...

How cool is that!

Kind of looks like a really strange engagement picture!

Not quite 16 yet and Happy Chinese New Year!

Eliza was so excited to be in a shopping cart...because she got to drive! She really did love it. It was hilarious.

Waterfall braid and is my husband Jewish?!

I am not so great and waterfall braiding my own hair. I wanted to practice on Jess. I usually can braid so easy but it was not working! I went home and tried on myself again and again then finally realized I was doing it wrong! I figured it out and it actually looks pretty!

And I do love the Middle East...

Happy Birthday Lindsay!!!

Little Lindsay turned one and had quite the celebration! Haylee did some of the cutest things. I loved it! I was so jealous of the cake. I have wanted to try it out and loved seeing how amazing Haylee's was! Eliza had so much fun being with her cousins and celebrating. We love you Lindsay!

Sick little bug

Eliza did really well with everyone while we were gone. But, she got a little sick. Luckily the worst came when we got home.
You can't really tell from the picture but Eliza is holding a bunch of crackers. I think she has a little bit of attachment going on. If there is more than one of something, she wants it, all of it. The other night the only thing that made her happy was suckers. She didn't want to eat them, she just wanted to hold them. She fell asleep with about 10 in each hand. I wish I could have taken a picture of that!

She was sick but so cute doing her sounds...

Vacay Day 9 {Home}

You can see by our faces we had mixed emotions about coming home. We were sad that it was over but so excited to see Eliza. Now we have to start planning another trip to look forward to!

Vacay Day 8 {Day at Sea}

Our last day on the ship came way too fast. I didn't want the trip to end but was getting anxious to see my baby. We called home and found out she was getting a cold so I was even more excited to see her and snuggle her and be the one taking care of her. I woke up and went to a yoga class on the ship. It was pretty awesome watching the water during the class. We went and got breakfast then walked around the ship a bit. They had an all chocolate buffet so wen went and ate yet some more cruise food. Ben and I have never miniature golfed on a cruise so we decided to do it while we could. It was lots of fun. I held my own and Ben only beat me by one stroke. After golf we went and sat on our patio. I wanted to get some more sun and that was the warmest place. We got ready and went to our last dinner and comedian. We went and had our last ice cream of the trip then headed to our room to pack. It was a fun day. It was fun doing some things on the ship that we had never done before.

Mini golf on the ship. Ben beat me by one stroke. I was ok with that.

The whole week I kept saying I wanted to take a picture of these giant chairs. Luckily we did on the last day.

We have been planning and talking about and anticipating this cruise for months. We knew it would come and be gone too fast. Ben wrote down all the things we did and we made a top ten list. It ended up being top eleven with a three way tie for number one. My number one, being with Ben. It was like a second honeymoon. I loved every second of our time together.
