Happy Birthday Ben!
I'm so glad that on your 28th birthday I gave you tickets to Body Worlds.
Because of that date we are where we are now.
And I wouldn't change a thing.
I love you so much!

First Christmas
We woke up Christmas morning to this...

Then we opened presents. Eliza loves her Repunzel doll and chair.

And her cousins sure love her!

Grandpa Hodgkinson has been a hit the last few days. Eliza LOVES chatting with him!

Christmas was so wonderful this year. Eliza is of course a bit young to understand what is going on but it was so fun with her. Ben was so thoughtful. He knows how much I love Broadway so for Christmas he gave me tickets to Beauty and the Beast in L.A.! We are going to Disney Land as well and I can't wait. Although getting presents is so fun, it is also so important to remember the true meaning of Christmas. I am so thankful for the birth of our Savior and the knowledge of eternal families. Live it and love it!

Christmas Eve
Our Christmas Eve started with a yummy breakfast casserole. We had a relaxing morning around the house. The Bott Christmas party was at Tucano's this year. Then we went to my Dad;s house to open presents and have dessert. The kids were being crazy so I calmed then down by reading a few books.
While we waited for present time we kept track of Santa on Ben's phone. We were texting Santa and Rudolph. The kids names somehow appeared on the nice list. They loved it.
Finally the kids got to open their pajama's and were set for the night!

After the Bott's house we went to the Hodgkinson's. We missed their dinner but Eliza had a fun night chatting away with Grandpa Hodgkinson.
Eliza is so excited for Sant to come to our house!

Madeleine L'Amour

Eliza has made a few trips to Madeleine L'Amour. It is such an amazing little shop...a little addicting. They featured Eliza on their blog. They have a line called Eliza Dreaming so it seemed appropriate. Here is the link to Eliza's debut...Little Fashionista.

Christmas Concert

After waking up Eliza and dropping her off at Meridith's, picking up Haylee and Darin, waiting in the pouring rain for 45 minutes, the Mormon Tabernacle and David Archuleta concert was worth the wait. I was sad we didn't get tickets to one of the evening performances but the Sunday show was amazing. They did almost all of the songs they did in the other shows. And, we had President Monson in attendance. It was a great way to start the week of Christmas with the real meaning of Christmas.
There's an app for that...

First Date
Eliza had her first date with her little friend Joshua (aka Shu). They went to visit Grandma Groberg at the Relief Society building where she is a missionary every other Monday. They took a little tour then had a yummy lunch at the church office building. They had so much fun!

3 Months
Eliza at 3 months...
loves her hands, and moms too
is starting to grab things
gray eyes turning blue
loves when daddy comes home
wishes mom would let her watch tv
sucks on forearm
raises eyebrows so quizzically
coos, goos and talks a lot
is very alert
always looking around
doesn't love tummy time as much as she used to
day time naps are getting shorter
getting more hair
loves to read books
sleeps for 6, 7, or 8 hours at night
makes mom and dad smile

Recognize that the joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction.
