The fam headed to the cabin for the weekend. Last time we were all there was Thanksgiving. It was fun because this time Eliza was able to check everything out on her own. It was pretty cold and rainy and snowing so we spent most of our time inside. She loved crawling around on the carpet.
Ben told her she had to choose which bunk bed she wants before she has a brother or sister. She seems to like the top.
The main road to Jackson Hole was closed but Eliza needed a nap in a really, really bad way so we drove the two hours. It was a beautiful drive and worth E bug's new sweatshirt. It was her first time to Jackson. Her first of many trips to come!
UNO was the game of the weekend. Even Eliza got in on it. I just gave her cards to play with and chew on. I love the first picture because she has her finger up like that's her way of saying uno.
Our last night we FINALLY got around to watching Justin Bieber's movie. It's actually a pretty good movie.
Besides not getting a lot of sleep (Ben slept in 4 different beds) and being a little cold, we had such a fun weekend.

Going away
Even though Vicki and Bryan had a going away party I wanted to get together with just the girls so we could actually talk. Some of the Bott girls go together for dinner. It was fun to talk and laugh. I am sure going to miss Vicki! She has been such a good friend to me. I hope she doesn't mind long distance phone calls...

Leaving...
My dear cousin Vicki and her family are moving far far away...to Ohio. I am going to miss her more than she knows. Here is a picture of us at their going away bbq. We had stake conference after, hence being dressed up. We love you guys and will miss you!

Eliza actually had her first ponytail a couple weeks ago I just didn't get a picture. Today is her first documented ponytail.
(Thanks for the reminder of first ponytails cousin Lindsay!)

Harmon's
Harmon's Grocery store is doing a baby contest. Eliza had to be entered! Here are a few pictures from her photo shoot. I think she should win for getting Bob and Randy to pose with her.

8 Months
Eliza at 8 months...
crawls...everywhere!
has the cutest hoppiest crawl
first tooth popped through
loves to eat real food, unless her teeth are hurting
likes when daddy shares his ice cream
went to the temple for the first time
claps
reaches for who she wants
kicks one leg out when getting in bath
says ma ma ma ma ma, but doesn't know what it means
pulls herself up
tries to stand with no support
laughs when tickle collar bone
loves when mommy and daddy quack
has a hard time sleeping because she would rather stand up or crawl around her crib
always blowing (practicing for her first birthday candle!)
learning to give high five
likes to play peek a boo
claps for mom when she sings popcorn popping
makes mom and dad happy even when she's teething...
A new baby is like the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.

Mothers Day 2011
Ben always out does himself on Mother's Day. This year he made me breakfast in the bath (Eliza was busy getting some steam in her lungs in the shower), gave me beautiful flowers, wrote the sweetest card, and made a frame with Eliza's footprints. This was all before church! Eliza has a bad cough so we took shifts at church. The Hodgkinson's came down for dinner. Ben of course did everything. He made kabobs on the grill, roasted green beans, and pineapple and an ice treat on top for dessert. We took flowers to my mom's grave then went and visited my family. It was a wonderful day. I am so blessed to be a mother to such a wonderful little soul. I'm so blessed to be the wife of the best husband I could ask for. I'm so blessed to have had the time I had with my amazing mom. I'm so blessed to have my grandma still around. I'm so blessed to have such a great mother in law. I am so grateful for all of the mothers and women in my life. Happy mothers day!!!
