Mr. & Mrs. Claus

I have been wanting to try the famous french toast at Kneaders for a long time. So we headed up there and were not disappointed. The french toast was yummy! But the best part was Eliza meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus. We were so glad they were there for Eliza to meet for her first Christmas.

Hodgkinson Grandchildren Christmas Party

Grandma Wendy had the funnest party for the grandchildren. They decorated cupcakes, played games, and danced the afternoon away. Eliza slept through most of it. The kids were so happy when she woke up. I think they kind of like her.

Sock monkey and the bumbo

Little Liza love has a sock monkey hat. Adorable. Enough said...
And she now sits in her bumbo. Cutest thing ever.
And she is a little doll in her red and white for Christmas.
And she was too tired to enjoy her bumbo any longer.

First Date

Eliza had her first date with her little friend Joshua (aka Shu). They went to visit Grandma Groberg at the Relief Society building where she is a missionary every other Monday. They took a little tour then had a yummy lunch at the church office building. They had so much fun!

3 Months

Eliza at 3 months...
loves her hands, and moms too
is starting to grab things
gray eyes turning blue
loves when daddy comes home
wishes mom would let her watch tv
sucks on forearm
raises eyebrows so quizzically
coos, goos and talks a lot
is very alert
always looking around
doesn't love tummy time as much as she used to
day time naps are getting shorter
getting more hair
loves to read books
sleeps for 6, 7, or 8 hours at night
makes mom and dad smile

Recognize that the joy of motherhood comes in moments. There will be hard times and frustrating times. But amid the challenges, there are shining moments of joy and satisfaction.

Bountiful Light Parade

We watched the light parade from the car this year. We didn't want Eliza to freeze! It was a fun little adventure.

Bott Thanksgiving

What a fun week we had! Ben, Eliza and me spent the whole week at the cabin. The first three days it was just the three of us. It was nice and relaxing and COLD. Wednesday night the rest of my family came up. Thursday Ben and I (mostly Ben) made dinner. It turned out great. Everyone was happy and full. Friday we ventured out into the cold and cut down Christmas trees. Eliza and I spent most of the time in the car. Ben picked out a great tree for our house. I can't wait to get it home and decorate it. We left Saturday morning to make it home in time for the OSU vs. Michigan game and the Utah vs. BYU game. Both were victories. Thanksgiving this year was so great. We are so blessed and have lots to be thankful for.
