Eliza's new cousin Lindsay was born last week. We love her and are thinking of her today.

Snuggles
When Eliza gets tired she either cries and wants to go to bed, or snuggles and falls asleep in your arms. I try to put her to bed before either happen. Ben and I fight over her every time she gets the tired snuggles. Tonight Daddy won.

Exersaucer
Eliza bug loves her saucer.
She plays with and chews on the toys.
She turns around and around.
She could probably play in it for hours.
If she didn't eventually get hungry.
Patiently Waiting
Ben and I went a yummy Spanish restaurant for dinner. We have been wanting to find a good Spanish restaurant so I could try food from Ben's mission. My sister in law Michelle watched Eliza. She was tired when we went to pick her up so we didn't want to stay long. We put her in her car seat and started chatting a bit. When Ben looked in the see if she had fallen asleep he had to take a picture. She was just patiently waiting for us to take her home to bed.

4 Months
Eliza at 4 months...
survived her first cold
looks like she's getting two little bottom teeth
has the cutest hair, and bald spot
blue eyes are getting more and more amazing
rolled over from tummy to back
laughs out loud
made a debut as a model
saw her first movie in a theater
met Santa and Mrs. Claus
enjoyed her first Christmas
sucks on anything she can put in her mouth
holds on to toys
loves her changing table
sleeps through the night (or did until her cold)
makes mom and dad laugh out loud too
"...That young mother will build faith and character in the next generation one family prayer at a time, one scripture study session, one book read aloud, one song, one family meal after another. She is involved in a great work. She knows that “children are an heritage of the Lord” and “happy is the woman that hath a quiver full of them” (Ps. 127:3, 5).
She knows that the influence of righteous, conscientious, persistent, daily mothering is far more lasting, far more powerful, far more influential than any earthly position or institution invented by man. She has the vision that, if worthy, she has the potential to be blessed as Rebekah of old to be “the mother of thousands of millions” (Gen. 24:60)."
