Cinqo de Mayo

For Cinqo de Mayo we invited my Dad and Jess down for our favorite street tacos. Eliza has a dress from Mexico and finally had a reason to wear it!I didn't take a picture of the tacos but did get one of Ben's delish lime slush drink he made.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to the best mom in the world.
I miss you.
I love you.
Thanks for being a perfect example of motherhood.
I'm doing my best to be like you.

Cutest mom on the right...
A little shy around the boys.
My dad was one lucky guy to have snatched her up.

Zoo

Eliza and I had so much fun going to the zoo with Vicki and Ethney. It was fun to spend time with them before they head off to Ohio for their new adventures!

Eliza patiently waiting to go...

Eliza loves ducks so I could tell she was so excited it was one of the first things we saw.

I love this picture of Ethney.

More pictures to come when I get them from Vicki...

Sunday Grands and Greats

My dear Grandma Hazel had us up for dinner. Eliza was loving her great grandparents...

We then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Hodgkinson's. Eliza enjoyed her first otter pop of the summer! It was a bit chilly but she loved it. I think it felt good on her sharp teeth trying to slice through...

Phone Pictures

 New outfit from daddy

Crazy nap hair

A very rare occasion when Eliza snuggled.

 Making a huge blueberry mess.

Doesn't need help with her sippy anymore!

I love Saturday mornings! Eliza lays in bed with us, for about 5 minutes, but I love every second!

Drinking from my straw, she loves it!

Standing

Eliza has learned to pull herself up. She loves to stand. We decided about a week ago to lower her crib. I think that gave her motivation or something because a few days later she was standing in her crib. In fact, now she prefers to stand. She prefers standing or sitting in her crib to sleeping... It's getting a little crazy with her naps. She can stand, she just hasn't learned to sit back down. You can see her red bumps and bruises on her face. She has been falling quite a bit. Hopefully she'll learn the stand AND sit soon!

He is Risen

Easter has become one of my favorite holidays. Not eggs and bunnies, but the real meaning of Easter. I was a little disappointed when I realized we weren't having an "Easter" lesson in Relief Society. But, we had a lesson on temples. It was such a beautiful lesson. A primary class came in and sang I Love to See the Temple. While they were singing I realized that it was an Easter lesson. Easter is about family and eternal happiness. After church we came home and frosted cupcakes and cake for our family dinners. I have been raving to Ben since we were dating about my carrot cheesecake. I finally made it! I wish I took a picture of our kitchen afterward. It was covered in powdered sugar. We had so much fun the mess was worth it. Ben thought it would be fun to make the inside a little Easter surprise. They turned out great. We had a yummy dinner at Hodgkinson's then went to my Dad's house for seconds. It was a perfect day.
