Europe - Day 2 {Barcelona, Spain}

We, mostly I, had a great fight to Barcelona.  I basically slept the entire time which Ben didn't appreciate.  We had a long wait for our bags. I started getting a little nervous. Luckily they finally came and we took a taxi to our hotel. We stayed at the Wyndham Tryp Apolla. We dropped off our bags, freshened up, and were off to see Barcelona.

Our Hotel

Spanish Pastries
Ben had these on his mission. It was SO nice he could speak Spanish and knew all the yummy stuff to look for.  The heart shaped chocolate covered pastry, palmera, was a favorite.

The City

Letter R for Reese!

And giant cat for Reese.

This sign says I can't live without you. So true.

I decided to take pictures of all the parks to show the girls.

The Market

I LOVED all the fresh fruit at the market.
I had fresh dragon fruit juice that was divine.

Jamon Experience

Ben was really looking forward to having some delicious Spanish ham. I have to say it did not disappoint. We tried about eight different hams and learned about how they are cured and flavored.

Tapas

For dinner we had tapas. We tried so many yummy different things. It was all so good and so different than anything I have ever had.

After dinner we went to a little cafe and had churros con chocolate. Ben had this on his mission too and I was so looking forward to trying it. It was so delicious and so fun.

After churros we walked around a bit more and enjoyed the city. There were people selling flowers on the streets. Ben was so romantic and bought me one.  It was so fun people watching and just being there.  Barcelona is beautiful and magical and I felt like I was in a dream.  I loved every second of this day!
