Camp Zarahemla

I haven't been to girls camp since I was a young woman. Imagine that! I was so excited that I got to go. I have some awesome young women and leaders that I am getting to know. Camp is the best place to really bond that's for sure. I was lucky enough to go for the whole time. The theme was Anchored in Truth which I loved. I am thankful for my chance to serve as Young Women President. It's been a great experience so far.

Gabee and her bloody nose.

One of my favorite memories of camp when I was a young woman, hair braiding!

Melanee Donahoo, the stake camp director and friend from the good old University of Utah singles ward!

Whitney in the stake skit.

For our skit we had the girls in a doctors office. One girl came in with a broken foot, literally, and contracted all of the other diseases the other girls had. The last one to come in was the Beehive Counselor, Amy Byrd, who is pregnant. Say no to teenage pregnancy!

At the "light house".

The fearless leaders. Michelle Hutchinson, Whitney Davis, me. Amy Byrd, Jessi Dowdy, and Audrey Bebee. Kelsey Thatcher came up and back and McKinzi Bridgewater wasn't able to make it at all. It's been so great getting to know these fun older young women!

Gabee didn't think I was wet enough...

The "light house" where we had flag ceremony every morning and night.

The cabin where the girls slept.

Our camp ground.

Some of the leaders sang at the "Destiny" hour tonight. I was chosen to be one of them! We only practiced once so it was pretty awesome!

Getting ready for testimony meeting.  Testimony meeting was awesome. Almost all of the girls shared something and the Spirit was definitely there. Another favorite from my girls camp days.

The girls wanted to eat the left over pizza we had for dinner. When we opened the box the pizza had been abducted by something! There was no sauce, no cheese, no toppings and was torn in weird ways. Bishop Donaldson threw it in the fire before I got a picture.

Leave camp

Tired girls before we left. Happy to get home and shower but sad to leave. I hope they remember the feelings that they felt at camp and remember how great they are!
