I do not have a green thumb. I have mowed the lawn once in my whole life and never planted anything that lived longer than a few days. But, about a month before we got married I planted tulips in our front yard. I kind of forgot about them until the spring when they came up and were beautiful. I went out to shovel the snow (I'm not proud to say for the first time since we've been married) and saw the sad sight of my tulips. I hope they survive this snowstorm.

Haha! This sounds like me! Tulips will come back each year though... just cut off the dead top as soon as the snow melts and they should come back up in the spring. :)
Kristy!! Ha ha!! I can't stop laughing about your comment how we should all get our letter on our body to match Lindsay!! Eliza is so cute!! Can't wait to see her haircut in person!! Hope the tulips pull through, And happy happy birthday tomorrow!!
Oh no! I hope your flowers survive too! I want to completely re-do my landscaping this spring, and I have a feeling I'll just kill all the plants I buy. :) I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can play outside!!
What ever you do! Do not cut off those green leaves of the tulips. They will survive! That i know for sure. Tulips are hardy! As long as they have not bloomed yet that snow will not hurt them one bit! Good for you! My little gardener!
